This combination of iron and wood not only adds to the beauty of the pot but also to the quality of the rice cooked within, encapsulating the essence of traditional Japanese culinary tools.

How to Use a Hagama Rice Cooker: A Culinary Journey

Using our Hagama rice cooker is a journey in itself, blending tradition with culinary excellence. Here’s how you can use this wooden rice cooker to achieve perfectly cooked rice:

Rinse the Rice: Begin by washing the rice multiple times until the water runs clear.

Measure and Add: For every 180ml cup of rice, add 210ml of water to the pot. The maximum capacity is 3 cups of rice.

Soak: Allow the rice and water to sit for 30 minutes without heating.

Cook: Place the pot on medium heat with the lid on for 15 minutes.

Steam Release: Once steam escapes, let it continue for 20 seconds, then turn off the heat.

Final Steaming: Leave the lid on and let the rice steam for another 15 minutes.

Serve: Remove the lid, and your delicious, iron-rich rice is ready to enjoy!

This process not only cooks the rice but also enriches it with a natural iron supplement, enhancing both its nutritional value and taste. Each step in using this cast iron rice cooker is designed to bring out the best in your rice, offering a culinary experience that is as nourishing as it is delightful.
