📰 Policy Update

Effective November 2025

Irasshai now offers free worldwide shipping from $100, and we cover import duties, tariffs, and taxes on orders at or above this threshold. No hidden costs, no surprises.

For orders below $200, standard shipping rates and any import fees may apply. All applicable costs are shown at checkout whenever possible.

At Irasshai, we take pride in delivering high-quality, handcrafted Japanese products to customers worldwide. All orders ship from Japan with care and attention to detail.

📦 Order Processing

  • Orders are processed within 3 to 10 business days.
  • Shipping occurs Monday to Saturday excluding Sundays and Japanese national holidays.
  • Extra time may be required during peak seasons and holidays.

*Small Packets are reserved for lightweight items under $100 in value, such as soaps, small utensils, and accessories.

Note: The carrier may vary depending on product type, package size, or the origin warehouse.

🌍 International Shipping & Exceptions

We ship worldwide. In rare cases, certain destinations may incur additional charges, which will appear at checkout.

  • Deliveries to P.O. Boxes are possible via Small Packets or EMS. We do not recommend using a P.O. Box since shipments are more likely to be returned.
  • Due to international regulations, we cannot ship to some countries or regions, including active conflict zones.
  • If shipping to your country is not feasible due to restrictions or security concerns, we will cancel the order and issue a full refund.

A tracking number and shipping confirmation will be provided once your order has shipped.

💼 Customs, Duties & Taxes

Our commitment:

  • For orders at or above $200, Irasshai covers import duties, tariffs, and taxes in addition to shipping costs.
  • For orders below $200, any duties or taxes are the responsibility of the recipient. Where available, we estimate these costs at checkout.

Notice for U.S. Customers:

U.S. authorities currently apply increased import tariffs on certain goods shipped from Japan. Some metal items such as copper, stainless steel, or aluminum goods can be subject to higher rates.

  • If your order is at or above $200, Irasshai will cover these U.S. tariffs for eligible items.
  • If your order is below $200, the courier (FedEx, DHL, UPS, USPS) may bill you for tariffs when the package enters the country. The package can be held until payment is completed.

If a shipment is refused or returned due to unpaid duties, incorrect address, or lack of communication with customs, the actual shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. We cannot intervene with customs on your behalf.

🛠 Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, contact our support team immediately with photos of the item and packaging. Please retain all packaging materials and damaged items while we process your claim with the carrier.
