Description

The authentic Japanese tetsubin brings centuries of craftsmanship into the simple ritual of boiling water for tea.

Crafted in Iwate, Japan

Handcrafted in Iwate Prefecture, Japan, this traditional Nambu Tekki tetsubin reflects more than 400 years of Japanese cast iron craftsmanship. Each kettle is carefully molded, fired, and finished by skilled artisans, creating a timeless piece designed to be enjoyed for generations.

Cast Iron That Enhances Every Pour

Made from durable, uncoated cast iron, the kettle retains heat exceptionally well while heating water evenly. As the water is gently boiled, many tea enthusiasts appreciate the smooth, mellow character traditionally associated with water prepared in a tetsubin.

A Timeless Design That Never Goes Out of Style

Featuring the classic arare (hailstone) pattern and a gently rounded silhouette, this kettle represents the traditional form that many people associate with Japanese tetsubin. The precisely fitted lid reflects the high level of craftsmanship required to create this timeless design, while the fixed upright handle preserves its elegant profile whether in use or on display.
