Each Ohitsu wooden rice bucket is unique, with natural variations in the grain and colour of Sawara cypress that give every piece its own character. Handcrafted in Japan, it brings the warmth of natural wood to your table, while a traditional copper hoop adds strength and understated elegance.

The wood helps absorb excess moisture from freshly cooked rice, keeping the grains soft and fluffy for serving. With a 630 ml capacity, this Japanese rice container fits naturally into everyday meals and small gatherings.

Its simple design harmonises with Japanese rice bowls and other tableware, creating a warm, welcoming setting for sharing homemade food.

On orders over €200, VAT, duties and shipping are included, so there's nothing to pay on delivery. Below that, the carrier may collect these fees on delivery.

 Are your products authentic?

Yes. Every product is made in Japan and sourced directly from Japanese artisans and makers. We check each one before it ships.

 Can I return an item?

You have 14 days after delivery to return an unused item in its original packaging. Opened consumables can't be returned.
